Rotorua Girls’ High School has over 1000 young women with approximately 35 international students.

Our motto is “Empowering Young Women”, and our saying is, “If it is to be it is up to me”.

We have an outstanding event centre on site (Rotorua’s ARENA), a modern Wellness Centre and Technology Facilities, we have wireless IT across the school, data projectors and screens in every classroom, modern carpeted classrooms, a sit-down cafeteria, beautiful gardens and cobble-stoned pathways.

Our school’s goals relate to continuous improvement, especially in: student attendance; student literacy and numeracy rate; and student achievement through NCEA.

We operate a Childcare (RGHS Childcare Trust) on our grounds which caters for 26 under five year olds.

We are the ‘umbrella’ school for the Rotorua School for Young Parents, which operates on the grounds of Sunset Junior High and caters for 30 teenage mothers and their babies.
