Through interlinking text and image trails, the Encyclopedia takes you on a journey of discovery. Beginning with the theme of New Zealanders, it will eventually present a comprehensive guide to New Zealand and its natural environment, history, culture, economics and government.
NZETC
is a unit within the VUW Library, whose mission includes building a free online library of NZ and Pacific resources. As well as the Williams dictionary, the NZETC’s online collection also includes the “Maori-Polynesian Comparative Dictionary” by Edward Tregear, as well as a number of works relating to Maori history and culture, mostly by 19th century Pakeha historians and ethnographers. At present the Williams dictionary can be browsed like any other text on the NZETC website, chapter by chapter.

Sport Bay of Plenty, a Charitable Trust and non profit organisation, was established in 1987 and has grown to become a substantial provider of services benefiting the sporting, recreational and leisure interests of the Bay of Plenty communities.
Toi Te Ora’s Health Promoting Schools programme is about linking health and well being to what is taught in the classroom and the social, cultural and physical environment of the school. This also includes policies and procedures and linking with community partners and organisations that can support the school. Referred to as the ‘whole school approach’, it means involving the whole school community in activities that promote health and well being.
